Batting first at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh were dismissed for 133 runs. Zakir Ali anchored the innings with a well-made 55, while Mehidy Hasan chipped in with 33. However, the rest of the lineup failed to fire, with most batters struggling to reach double figures.

Pakistan’s bowlers kept things tight. Salman Mirza, debutant Ahmed Daniyal, and Abbas Afridi all grabbed two wickets each, while Mohammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf took one apiece.

In reply, Pakistan fell short of the target, getting bowled out for 125 in the final over. Bangladesh’s bowlers held their nerve in the death overs. Sharif Islam shone with 3 wickets, while Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took two each. Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain also chipped in with a wicket apiece.
