Mirpur: Bangladesh secured a series win over Pakistan with a hard-fought 8-run victory in the second T20 International, taking an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match contest.

Batting first at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh were dismissed for 133 runs. Zakir Ali anchored the innings with a well-made 55, while Mehidy Hasan chipped in with 33. However, the rest of the lineup failed to fire, with most batters struggling to reach double figures.

Pakistan’s bowlers kept things tight. Salman Mirza, debutant Ahmed Daniyal, and Abbas Afridi all grabbed two wickets each, while Mohammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf took one apiece.

In reply, Pakistan fell short of the target, getting bowled out for 125 in the final over.
